Delete your FamilyPilot account

You can securely request deletion of your FamilyPilot account and private data here. You do not need to sign in to the LifePilot website, and we will never ask for your FamilyPilot password on this page.

Start securely

Safest method: use the FamilyPilot app

While signed in, open Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This authenticated path is the recommended way to begin.

Use a secure email verification link

Request a short-lived link sent to your account email. The link only verifies access to that email; you must still explicitly confirm the deletion request.

Preparing the secure request form…

What happens to your data

FamilyPilot removes data that belongs only to your account while preserving shared information that other household members still need.

Deleted

The deletion process removes:

  • Your FamilyPilot Cognito sign-in identity and any linked identities
  • Active authentication sessions
  • Private settings and preferences
  • Device and notification tokens
  • Private cloud records
  • Unshared media
  • Media no longer referenced by records that must be retained

May be retained or anonymised

Some shared information may need to remain:

  • Shared household records needed by remaining household members
  • Shared calendar, task and co-parenting records
  • Shared child profiles
  • Media referenced by shared records that are retained
  • Attribution that may be replaced with an anonymous former-member label

Shared children remain available

A child shared with another parent is not deleted when one parent deletes their account. The shared child profile and records needed by the remaining parent may be retained.

Household ownership

Each household you own is handled independently before account deletion can proceed.

  • Ownership can move only to an eligible adult administrator.
  • The replacement owner must accept the transfer.
  • Children, teens and convenience profiles cannot become owners.
  • If no eligible adult remains, you must explicitly confirm closure of that household.

Subscriptions

Subscription ownership may need to be resolved before deletion. Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions may require a separate cancellation step through the relevant store or billing account. Do not assume deleting your FamilyPilot account will automatically cancel an external recurring subscription.

Cancellation period

A scheduled deletion can be cancelled in FamilyPilot during the cancellation period. Cancellation is unavailable once processing begins. If an ownership transfer has already been accepted, cancelling deletion does not automatically reverse that transfer.
